With the exponential growth of Twitter, we’ve all seen many versions of the brand’s blue bird. Some are pure graphics while others combined both text and the blue bird. So, the folks at Twitter has deemed it the proper time to implement a one-branding scheme for Twitter. Hence, the blue bird has finally evolved and took a final form that will represent both Twitter the service and Twitter the company.
Let’s all welcome the new Twitter bird then. Notice anything different from the new blue Twitter bird? As you can see, it’s more simplified now and has no text, bubbled typefaces or lowercase “t” to represent Twitter. All you see is the blue block in the shape of the Twitter bird.
According to Twitter the company, the new bird grows out of love for ornitology and was designed within creative constraints and simple geometry. It was drawn out of three overlapping circles which is representative of how networks, interest and ideas connect and intersect with peers and friends. This is of course the very essence of Twitter the service. And to make it more poetical, Twitter the company also said that;
“Whether soaring high above the earth to take in a broad view, or flocking with other birds to achieve a common purpose, a bird in flight is the ultimate representation of freedom, hope and limitless possibility.”
And with this, be very careful when using the new Twitter bird. To make sure that you are implementing it properly, check out the guidelines provided by Twitter.com by following the via link below. Any thoughts on the new Twitter bird? Drop us a comment below.
