We recently saw the Xperia Miro and the Xperia tipo smartphones announced, and well, it looks like Sony has quietly unveiled a third device. This latest another variant of the Xperia Ion, one that should be nice for those without 4G coverage. The handset is the Xperia Ion HSPA and as of now it is still listed with Sony as a handset that is “coming soon.” Aside from not having LTE coverage, the Xperia Ion HSPA is similar to the Xperia Ion LTE in terms of hardware features. They include a 4.6-inch HD Reality Display with Mobile Bravia, a 12 megapixel rear facing camera, DLNA, HDMI and access to the Sony services to include Music Unlimited and Video Unlimited. Oh, and, the Xperia Ion HSPA will be running Gingerbread at launch.
