Acer has officially rolled out their latest Android tablet. The model is the Iconia Tab A700 and those interested will be able to pre-order as of today. The A700 is priced at $449.99 and will be avaialble for those in the US and Canada.
The Iconia Tab A700 will be available in black or silver and feature goodies to include a 10.1 inch (1920 x 1200) touchscreen display, NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core processor and running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. The display will have a 16:10 aspect ratio, an 800:1 contrast ratio and a 178 degree viewing angle. Some other perks for the Iconia Tab A700 include Dolby Mobile 3 with 5.1 channel home theater surround sound support.
Additionally, the tablet will bring HDMI connectivity, 1GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS, 1 megapixel front facing camera, 5 megapixel rear facing camera and a 9800 mAh battery that is touted as being able to offer up to 10.5 hours of video playback time or up to “nearly” 8 hours of web surfing. Finally, the tablet measures in at 10.23 x 6.89 x 0.43 inches and weighs in at “just over” 1.47 pounds.
