Last month, Amazon reached a licensing agreement with Paramount Studios which will make “hundreds” of new hit movies available for Amazon Prime Instant Video over the next three years.

Now, Amazon has reached another deal with another major studio, Metro-Goldwyn-Meyer or MGM Studios. This means that soon, you’ll find hundreds more classic movies and hit TV episodes available in the Prime Instant Video catalog. Currently, Prime Instant Video has more than 18,000 movies and TV episodes that you can instantly stream and enjoy at no additional cost, except that you have to be an Amazon Prime subscriber. And yes, you can start watching video right at this moment, by simply pointing your browser to www.amazon.com/PIV.

If you’re not yet a Prime member, you can try it free for one month. Movies and TV episodes in the Prime Instant Video catalog can be streamed on a Kindle Fire or other supported mobile devices. With MGM now as one of the content partners, you will be able to enjoy watching The Silence of the Lambs, Dances with Wolves, Rain Man, and The Terminator, to name a few.
