New York Times app for Windows Phone gets an update, brings support for Live Tile support and more

Those rocking The New York Times app on a Windows Phone device may want to fire up the Marketplace and download the latest. Yup, the NYTimes app has been updated and it looks like it has arrived with some welcomed new features including Live Tile integration, Pivot Navigation, Cloud integration and an “updated and refreshed” design. In addition, the app has also gotten some performance improvements and support for fast application switching.

• Live Tile Integration – users can pin any of the sections and blogs as Live Tiles to quickly see the latest headlines at a glance
• Pivot Navigation – users can see articles, videos and blogs in each section
• Cloud Integration – users may save articles to the cloud for access from multiple devices

Otherwise, the NYTimes app retains the “more than” 25 sections which includes news, information and opinion, including videos, slide shows and blogs. Finally, the app also has support for offline reading as well as the ability to share stories by way of social media and email.
