Just a few days back we saw the rendered images and specs for what is expected to be the Google Nexus tablet. And as the rumors go, Google should be announcing that tablet later today during the kick-off of I/O 2012. Anyway, while all of this has yet to be confirmed by any official means, it looks like Bloomberg has received some information from “two people familiar with the matter.”

According to the report, Google will be unveiling a “$199 tablet co-branded with Taiwan’s Asustek Computer Inc. at its developers conference this week.” Further details note that this tablet will indeed be running Android Jelly Bean and that it will be used as the way to show off the new goodies that will come along with this new release of Android.

Me personally, I am excited about the potential of seeing a $199 7-inch tablet that arrives with the blessing of Google — but at the same time, I am slightly more curious to see what Jelly Bean will have (feature wise) that makes it necessary to demo it on a tablet.
