We saw the image of the Nexus 7 tablet leak out a bit ahead of the keynote. And well, as we had been waiting for, Google has officially announced the tablet. The name, as we expected — is the Nexus 7. The tablet is made by Asus and brings the following features;
The tablet will be priced at $199 (8GB) and $249 (16GB) and for an unspecified limited time, those who make the purchase will get a $25 credit to use in the Google Play store. The Nexus 7 will be available for those in the US, Canada, UK and Australia with more countries to follow. Finally, while the Nexus 7 tablet is available for pre-order as of today, it will not begin shipping until mid-July.
