As we were expecting to happen, Verizon Wireless has officially launched the Droid Incredible 4G LTE smartphone. The handset is priced at $149.99, which comes after a $50 mail-in rebate and along with a two-year commitment. Those interested in picking up an Incredible 4G LTE will be able to do so at any of the Verizon retail stores or the authorized resellers. Of course, the handset is also available online.

The real question here is which Android handset you want to get now. Verizon has quite a few solid handsets available including this Incredible as well as the (almost available) Galaxy S III. Of course, the Galaxy S III is a bit higher in price, which may be a factor for some. The other notable difference between the two, the Incredible is an HTC device which means you will get the Sense user interface — a plus for some and a minus for others.

Otherwise, the Incredible 4G LTE is running Android 4.0 ICS and has features to include a 4-inch Super LCD qHD display, dual-core 1.2GHz Qualcomm S4 processor, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot, 1700 mAh battery, VGA quality front facing camera and an 8 megapixel rear facing camera.
