Archos has officially unveiled their latest tablet offering, though, it will not be available until sometime later in the month. The tablet is the Archos 97 Carbon and it appears as if it will arrive with some decent specs and a rather nice price tag. And just to clarify this one, Archos is billing this one as being part of their entry-level lineup.

The tablet is sporting a 9.7-inch display, hence the 97 in the name. And otherwise, is powered by a 1GHz processor and running Android 4.0 ICS. Some of the other specs include 1GB of RAM, a thickness of 0.45-inches, a weight of 21.8 ounces, a front and rear facing camera, microSD card slot and 16GB of internal storage. The tablet itself is sporting what Archos describes as being a “stylish design” and is made with a “premium” aluminum finish. For those who may have been worried, the Archos 97 Carbon will have access to Google Play.

Finally, the Archos 97 Carbon should be available later this month and will be priced at $249.99.
