Why I’m not buying the Nexus 7

Everyone I know is aflutter over the new Nexus 7 tablet announced by Google. Sure it’s got Ice Cream Sandwich and terrific specs thanks to ASUS, but I’m not among the rush to buy it. I’m sticking with my Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1.  Why? Well for starters I’m spoiled. I love the the 10.1 inch screen. It’s perfect for reading ebooks, comics and magazines, web browsing, and apps like Google Earth and Netflix , I just can’t go back to a 7 inch screen. It would be too cramped. Besides, my Tab will be getting ICS soon and in the meantime, I am doing just fine with Honeycomb. Is it nice to have the latest and greatest OS? Sure, but tablets running Honeycomb are still just as useful.

If you want to spring for the Nexus 7, go for it, but don’t think you have to because your current tablet is somehow no good now. I promise, it’s still just fine. Don’t go with the crowd, go for what works for you!
