It looks like current Dropbox Pro users will soon have quite a bit of additional storage available. The news is coming by way of the official Dropbox Blog where they note the following;

“Today we’re happy to announce that our upgrades are getting a huge upgrade! Dropbox Pro now comes in flavors of 100 and 200 GB, but at the price of the original 50 and 100 GB plans. For those of you who need even more space, a brand new 500 GB plan is also joining the posse!”

Current Dropbox Pro users should see their storage limits increase sometime later this evening. Otherwise, those considering signing up, or current Pro users who had been considering an upgrade — the new pricing (and increased storage) will also be available on the Dropbox website later this evening.

And keep in mind, these changes will only be affecting those with a Pro (paid) account which means the free storage limit will remain the same. Simply put, Dropbox Pro will soon be priced from $9.99 per month for 100GB of storage space. Finally, the folks at Dropbox are also going to be offering what they are referring to as an “extra bonus.” For this, current Pro users will be able to share three month Pro 100 trial accounts with friends and family.
