Some recent screenshots from iOS 6 are showing that AT&T will have controlling access to FaceTime over 3G — a feature that will be supported once iOS 6 becomes available for all to download and use. Of course, before anyone gets worked up about this fact, lets remind that AT&T also has control over another available feature — hotspot tethering. Basically, in this respect things are not all that surprising. Disappointing maybe, but certainly not surprising. Anyway, the details are coming by way of the folks over at 9to5Mac who not only received the screen capture (seen below) but also heard back from AT&T. In short, at this moment AT&T does not seem to be committing either way and responded with a general statement saying that they are “working closely with Apple on the new developer build of iOS6 and we’ll share more information with our customers as it becomes available.”
