We mentioned the Sonos Controller app update for iOS devices earlier today, and well, it looks like the Android app has also gotten an update. The Sonos Controller app for Android has gone up to version 3.8.1 and is currently available by way of Google Play. The app measures in as a 5.0MB file and maintains the requirement of Android 2.1 or later for use. That bit aside though, v3.8.1 arrives with something that Android tablet users will be happy to have — proper support. More specifically, here is how the changelog for Sonos for Android v3.8.1 reads;

“This release of the Sonos Controller for Android has been optimized for ALL Android tablets–giving customers more ways to control their music with landscape and album art modes.”
