A couple of months ago, we told you about the Kyocera Hydro Android smartphone. In case you forgot, said device happens to be a water-proof handset with all the bells and whistles of a pretty capable Android device. Well, guess what – the Kyocera Hydro is about to see the light of day courtesy of Boost Mobile. The carrier will be making the device available starting on August 3rd. The price point will be $129 and for that price you will get a phone that can withstand being submerged in water for up to 30 minutes without destroying itself. Well, yeah 30 minutes isn’t that long but hey, who says you have to bring your phone and make calls below the surface anyway? So, this means that the Kyocera Hydro’s water-proof features may be more of a protective feature just in case you accidentally dropped the phone in water. That being the case, you would have at least 30 minutes to find it and continue using the device after. Now as a review, the Kyocera Hydro boasts of a 3.5-inch display, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, Wi-FI, GPS, eco mode for efficient battery management and a 3.2MP camera with flash and video camera.
