Canadian customers interested in a rugged Android smartphone will soon have a new option in the Motorola DEFY Pro. Coming to Rogers in the near future, the DEFY PRO is certified to withstand spills, scratches, and dust.  It even features a 2.7 inch touch screen display composed of Corning Gorilla Glass to protect against scratches on the screen.

Beneath the 2.7 inch display is a front facing QWERTY keypad for quick messaging.  Unfortunately, there is no mention of the internal processor, RAM, or Android version it is running, but my guess is a skinned version of Android 2.3.  When it officially launches later this summer with Rogers, I imagine the full array of specs will be divulged.  In addition, it features a rear facing camera and a VGA front facing camera.

Pricing and specific launch details will likely be announced in the coming weeks from Rogers.
