Nexus 7 (16GB) tablet availability dries up, gets shifted to a ‘coming soon’ listing in the Google Play store

A short while back we watched as the 16GB Nexus 7 tablet slipped to a 3-4 week delivery time from the Google Play store. And while we were disappointed to see that length of time, it looks like things have since gotten a bit worse. A quick check of the Google Play store is now showing the 16GB Nexus 7 as “coming soon.” And on top of that, you cannot even place an order at the moment, only trade your email address to be notified when inventory comes available. Otherwise, the 8GB model is still showing as being delivered in 3-5 business days.
