The Nexus 7 tablet has become a hard to find device (at least in the 16GB variety), however those with a Staples close may have a chance to pick one up today. As we had expected, Staples has begun selling the Nexus 7 tablet as of today, July 20th. That of course is the good. And now for the bad — Staples is only carrying the 16GB model and the tablet is only available in-stores. Simply put, you must venture out as online sales and delivery is not an option. Otherwise, the tablet is priced at $249 and at least for all of the 8 retail locations within a 20 mile radius of my house, the tablet is showing as either “low stock” or “not sold at this location.” Bottom line, you may want to be at a Staples location when they open or very soon after.

[Update] It seems that while my local area is just now showing as having inventory as being available today, some Staples locations apparently had some in-stock earlier in the week. Regardless though, if you were looking for a 16GB Nexus 7 — Staples may be a good place to look.
