Is Instagram finally coming to the web?

One of the main complaints that we hear when it comes to Instagram — the lack of a website. Of course, on the flip side, some will argue that is part of what makes Instagram special. That argument aside though, it is beginning to look like a proper web-based version of Instagram is coming to the web. Or at the very least, that a version is being tested and worked on. One user, Cole Reinke (iamcolereinke) recently logged into Instagram on the web (where you can currently edit your profile and change your password) and was greeted with something new — the ability to View Profile. Needless to say, a click on the View Profile option did not provide Reinke with anything other than a 404 page. But still, that View Profile link is generally not something that you would even see. As you can see in the below image, there were the three options that were presented to Reinke on that visit. And just for comparison, a normal visit would show just two — Edit Profile and Log Out.
