Well, Rovio is giving us another avenue to play their very popular game, this time on Facebook. Angry Birds on Facebook, a Flash-based game is now available and comes with several features unique only to this version. These features come by way of in-game options which will make it easier for you to finish the game in a flash, such as shaking the game screen or selectively targeting a specific pig. According to Rovio, there are four types of power-ups that you can access and use. These are Super Seeds, King Sling, Sling Scope, and Birdquake. The last time I played Angry Birds on my iPad, I think the only power-up or special option available via in-game purchase is the Mighty Eagle (forgive me if what I know is outdated since it’s been ages since I last played Angry Birds). All these power-ups have different effects but with a single purpose – to make it easier for you to finish the game.

Another nice feature of Angry Birds on Facebook is the facility to challenge your friends in beating each others scores. Additionally, you can also gift power-ups to your friends via the Mystery Gift option. This is however limited to one per friend each day. You can also receive power-ups via daily rewards which is given to you if you visit Angry Birds on Facebook consecutively everyday or if you purchase via the Angry Birds shop.

So, what do you think, folks? Are you ready to take Angry Birds on Facebook for a new spin, or you’re already tired of the game?

Product [<a

Like all other versions, the PlayBook game has 50 levels where you can defeat zombies on the front yard, the back yard with a pool, and the roof, during the day or at night. It’s a fun game, and one that you should probably have no excuse for not playing, unless you exclusively use Linux on your PCs and BlackBerry mobile devices.

Expect the game to be somewhere between $5 and $10 as it is on other platforms. It’s well worth the money, especially if you haven’t played it on another platform before. It might just be the only game you’ll ever need on the PlayBook, which is good because there aren’t too many other great games for the device.

Read [<a

The latest update to Ticket To Ride Pocket for iPhone/iPod touch finally brings asynchronous multiplayer to the game.

With the new version of Ticket To Ride Pocket you’ll be able to challenge your friends to games of Ticket To Ride through Game Center. It works just like Word With Friends, but with more friends. Multiplayer games of Ticket To Ride Pocket will support up to four players online. If you don’t want to wait for all your friends to make their moves you can hop into other games or other apps if you find it difficult to keep up with multiple board games at once.

Of course Ticket To Ride still has a single player mode, and you can still play locally with multiple players playing on their own iOS devices on the same Wi-Fi or Bluetooth network.

Asynchronous multiplayer makes perfect sense for a board game iOS app, and this could become my multiplayer game of choice relatively quickly. Words With Friends is great, but with Ticket to Ride it’s easier to have a competitive match with all of your friends. I’m can’t wait to start up a few matches, I’m getting tired of always beating up the AI players.

Ticket to Ride Pocket Adds New Multi-game Multiplayer Mode

GameCenter Update to Best-Selling Board Game lets Trainiacs play multiple simultaneous games against friends on iPhone and iPod Touch

Los Altos, CA; Paris, France – February 03, 2012. Days of Wonder today announced a major update to their best-selling iPhone/iPod Touch board game Ticket to Ride® Pocket, letting players challenge friends in Apple’s GameCenter for the first time. With this update, players can play multiple simultaneous games against their friends around the world, with support for up to 4 online friends in each game. Most importantly, this new game mode supports asynchronous gameplay, letting players switch from game to game and even to other apps without losing their progress.

“This is the update Ticket to Ride players have been clamoring for since we released Ticket to Ride Pocket.” Said Eric Hautemont, Days of Wonder Founder and CEO. “We love online gameplay, but faced a challenge: ‘how do you create a great online experience on a device like the phone that is constantly being used for other functions?’ We needed to build an experience where players could come and go as they please yet have something meaningful to do when they played; the thought of having multiple games going at once was what convinced us this could work. With Multi Mode, we’ve given players what they want without compromising on the gameplay that made Ticket to Ride so popular to begin with.”

In addition to Multi Mode, Ticket to Ride Pocket allows players to play against nearby friends via an improved “Local Mode”. When connected via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi, players can play against each other using any combination of iPhones, iPod Touch devices and even iPads to start spur of the moment games that bring the old school “family game night” into the digital age.

And for those that prefer to play alone, 4 AI personalities, 20 unique achievements recognizing the players’ in-game accomplishments and 3 distinct leader boards all await dedicated Ticket to Ride solo players.

Days of Wonder simultaneously released an update to the iPad version of Ticket to Ride to ensure compatibility with the improved Local Mode included in this new Ticket to Ride Pocket release.

Ticket to Ride Pocket is available in the App Store for $1.99/€1.59 from the App Store on the iPhone and iPod Touch or at http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/ticket-to-ride-pocket/.

About Days of Wonder

Days of Wonder develops and publishes games that Play different.™ From its insistence on releasing only a very limited number of new games to its uncompromising board game production values and unique in-house digital development team, Days of Wonder consistently raises the bar with an unmatched

string of hits that includes Ticket to Ride, the world’s best-selling train game; Small World, the legendary fantasy game of epic conquests; and Memoir ’44, the World War II saga with 20 expansions to its credit. The Monster Tron T1 headphones may not have his name attached to them, but Xzibit is the celebrity that’s spending his time hyping them up.

X-to-the-Z is working closely with Monster for all it’s gaming lineup (as part of the Monster Game brand), and the T1 headphones are just the first of that line. Xzibit claims there’ll be more to come by the end of 2012 including controllers and game-specific HDMI cables. Unfortunately those headphones have been delayed several times over as Monster has had to tweak the design quite a bit over the past year, the aesthetics are about the same, however.

With the T1 headphones the big deal is that it will give you more precise locations of sound. So, as Xzibit put it, you can hear when someone is to your right but above you compared to other headphones where you might just hear them to your right. It would theoretically give you an advantage in shooters like Modern Warfare 3 compared to someone who would be using Turtle Beach headphones, for example. Or, as Xzibit put it: “why be a Turtle when you can be a Monster?”

Of course, you can also use the T1 headphones for listening to music. They actually ship as standard headphones, and turn into gaming headphones with the additional Game Box mixer. The sound, from the few times I’ve listened to the headphones since they were announced, it pretty great even for music, plus they looks cool when they light up. Monster is only saying that the T1 headphones will be coming in the next few months, though Xzibit says they should be coming out around the end of February. That date could be subject to change, though.

Microsoft said to be making exclusive games to help boost Windows Phone

Communications

Games

Gaming

Mobile

Smartphones

Software / Applications

games

microsoft

microsoft windows phone

windows phone

windows phone games
<guid

The Redmond giant is said to be developing games that would be exclusive to its Windows Phone platform.

The rumors comes from WMPoweruser, and is one that’s so obvious that Microsoft should have been doing it since the start. The games in question would theoretically be so great that users would switch to Windows Phone just to play them. Maybe it could mean the Xbox 360′s most popular series will soon see portable games on Windows Phone. We can only hope for a new Halo, Alan Wake, or Gears of War on the platform, maybe even a real Fable game or Banjo Kazooie.

Alongside the games Microsoft is still trying to get the best iOS apps over to Windows Phone. If Microsoft can pull of both of those strategies it could put a dent in the market. Maybe, just maybe this could mean we’ll see Microsoft acknowledge Windows Phone at E3 next year, unless the games are ready before then.

Read [<a

The game launched with a $4.99 price tag for both platforms and since then that price has remained the same. And well, coming as of this morning, those who wanted to but have yet to make a purchase will be happy — the price has dropped. In short, Grand Theft Auto III is now priced at $2.99 for both Android and iOS. But that being said, the price drop is only temporary and will go back up to the regular $4.99 price point as of December 29th. In other words, make sure you buy before the 29th or it will end up costing you $2.00 more.

Via [<a
