TechnologyTell Review: High Resolution Technologies dSp

While attending CES 2015, I made a point to visit as many audio-related booths as I could. While floating through the upper floors in the Venetian, I happened to pop into the suite for High Resolution Technologies. Why? Because they were playing some fun music loud enough to lure me in (unlike almost half of the other suites on those three floors).

Get your fancy elegance on with Braven’s latest LUX speaker

2015 is definitely starting to look like the year set for colors and styles. If you read the second half of my 2015 CES wrap-up, you’d know that when it comes to personal audio, black is outsold by color options. Now, black will always have a place in my heart and on my tech, but it’s nice to own other gear with some lively pop.

UE MEGABOOM takes top slot for all things mega at CES 2015

When it comes to products that are mega, there are some pretty badass options out there. First, you’ve got yourself Mega Man. Then there’s also the Nerf N-Strike Mega Centurion. Heck, even the kiddies have Mega Bloks. So when you’re Ultimate Ears and want to juice up one of your best-ever inventions, you go mega.

TechnologyTell Review: House of Marley Liberate BT speaker

The Liberate BT is smaller than expected, but it doesn’t take away from how cool it looks and feels. There’s something about naked fabric, wood, and metal.

Upgrade iPhone speaker output, battery life with PERI Duo

If smartphone built-in speakers were totally awesome, no one would think much about enhancing their music with separate audio output. The reality is that the tiny, built-in speakers are only great for basic sound. You can’t expect the hardware to develop much depth for music and entertainment.

BenQ treVolo bluetooth speakers add a little something extra

The latest from BenQ is the treVolo bluetooth speaker, created with electrostatic speaker technology for audiophile grade sound. TechnologyTell Review: Cambridge Audio Go Bluetooth speaker

New products don’t always hit it out of the park the first time up to bat. Sometimes a second round is required to get that groove and impress upon the masses. When it comes to portable Bluetooth speakers, this means big business. The market is saturated with options, and manufacturers are vying to draw consumers to their niches.

X-mini is launching a hulk of a speaker, the X-mini CLEAR

If you’ve ever shopped around for an ultra-portable, highly-affordable Bluetooth wireless speaker, it’s very likely you’ve seen at least one from X-mini. These guys have been making pocket- and keychain-sized speakers for quite some time – enough to garner excellent ratings of their entire product lineup in the thousands. They come in a variety of great colors and the price point can’t be beat.

TechnologyTell Review: FreshETech All-Terrain Sound Speaker

Contrary to popular belief, rugged speakers aren’t only for summertime use. Trust me. One can find much adventure and trouble outside of the few summer months. But even if you’re not big on outdoor activity, rugged and/or waterproof speakers are great in and around the home. Backyard? Bathtub? Don’t let your imagination ruin the possibilities and limit how and where you can listen to music. Especially with a speaker as small as the FreshETech All-Terrain Sound.
