The handset has not been given a release date just yet and so far the price is expected to come in at $199. And for those familiar with the pricing of the currently available Galaxy Nexus and wondering why the $100 drop. Well, simply put the White Galaxy Nexus will come with half the amount of internal storage — 16GB as opposed to 32GB. Sort of like the Droid RAZR and the Droid RAZR MAXX.

Via [<a

According to reports, the LG CX2 might come with a HD-IPS LCD screen with size somewhere around 4.5-inches and with resolutions of 1280×720. This is the same resolution as the LG Optimus LTE. The report also mentioned some previously unknown specs of the LG CX2, and these include a 1.2GHz dual-core TI processor, dual rear cameras with 5MP resolution, 8GB of internal storage, DNLA-capability, WiFi b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0, and 21Mbps HSPA. But of course, these are unofficial specs and we can’t wait for the Mobile Web Congress to happen in Barcelona soon.

Via [<a

And well, it looks like one user has discovered that the Samsung Galaxy Nexus can be used as a ‘desktop’ computer. Of course, we use the term desktop rather lightly given we realize that many would not be able to get by with a setup like this. But on the flip side, we do feel that some users would be able to get by just fine. After all, the Galaxy Nexus is running Android and that means some great apps for the more common tasks that people do — check email, light web surfing and social networking with sites such as Facebook and Twitter. Anyway, while we suspect many will be skeptical, we suggest giving the 8 minute and 48 second video a watch. And lastly, just to give a spoiler, this was accomplished using an Apple keyboard and trackpad along with an MHL adapter, HDMI cable and monitor.

Via [<a

That being said, Windows Phone users now have another option to consider in terms of a Twitter app. This latest is priced at $1.99 and is called Carbon. The Carbon Twitter app for Windows Phone has arrived in the Windows Phone as version 1.1 and it requires Windows Phone 7.5 Mango or higher for use. The app is sporting a Metro UI styling and brings most of the features that users will be looking for. According to the details coming from the folks behind the app, here is what you can expect in terms of features;

Full inline Pictures on the Timeline(needs to be enabled from settings)

Double Tap on tweets for quickly replying to tweets without the need to leave timelines

Quickline: A swiss army timeline for accessing all kinds of timelines from Lists, Retweets, Saved Searches

Live Ties for every account, pinnable to the Home Screen with Mentions & Direct Messages background checks

Compose Tile, pinning a compose tile on the Home Screen for a speedy tweet composition

Search Tiles, pin a #hashtag or keywords to your home screen for quick access to a search timeline

Threaded Direct Messages View

And of course, Bit.ly Pro URL shortening, Read Later support(Instapaper & Read It Later) and a lot more…

That all being said, the one item we think people will miss at this point — push notifications. And speaking on that, it was noted that they are “coming soon, real soon.” Needless to say, $1.99 with a promise sounds like a pretty solid deal. Otherwise, it also looks like version 1.2 is already in the works with a release date slated for February 15th. And just to give an idea of what to expect later this week;

Trial Mode, with v.1.2 we’ll have our Trial Mode enabled so that users can try the app before buying

A few new features and one more new cool gesture that goes nicely with our double-tap quick reply

Performance tuning and improvements and fixes

Via [<a
