Starting August 12, Sprint won’t offer new customers promotional credit

Apparently, Sprint will be pulling the plug on its $125 and $50 service credits promotion early. The promotion was originally scheduled to end on October 1, but according to a Boy Genius Report source, Sprint will stop openly acknowledging the service credit offer on August 12.

Amazon plays nice, offers $50 credit for HD DVD purchasers

Well, they may be a little late to gifting HD DVD purchasers something to help cover the blow, but better late than never. For those who purchased an HD DVD player before February 23, 2008, Amazon is giving $50 Amazon credit to anything, to which there are, of course, some restrictions. The biggest restriction being the items have to be sold by Amazon and not a third-party merchant.
