Asus announces the Windows Mobile 6.1 powered P565 smartphone
Asus has unveiled their latest smartphone, the P565, which is running Windows Mobile 6.1 and also includes a very powerful 800MHz Marvell Tavor processor. The processor, at least according to Asus, is currently “the fastest in the world.”
The P565 is noted as being a business PDA phone and, in addition to Windows Mobile 6.1, will also feature Asus’ own Glide UI. Other features of the P565 include a 2.8-inch touchscreen display, GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g and Bluetooth 2.0. As for memory, the P565 has 256MB of RAM, 128MB of ROM and a microSD card slot for additional storage. The P565 also has tri band GSM/GPRS/EDGE connectivity as well as support for UMTS and HSDPA.
