Nokia shows off the white Lumia 900 smartphone — on Facebook
Just recently, Nokia was teasing everyone with images of the Lumia 800 in white. And well, it looks like they also accidentally unveiled the Lumia 900 in white. The image that you see above was originally linked on the same Nokia Conversations posting that was showing the white Lumia 800 and has since been removed. more »
Best Buy lowers Eee PC 900A price yet again, now just $280
This one is not a Black Friday deal, but instead just another nicely priced product coming from Best Buy. We had recently seen them drop the MSI Wind down to $349, and now they have further slashed the pricing for the Eee PC 900A. It was not that long ago when it was dropped to more »
DECT: A reason to get excited about cordless phones again
Today we’ve got a guest post by Scott McGrath. Scott has worked in the IT industry as a consultant and Sysadmin for 12 years, and has enjoyed communications gadgets since he got his Fisher Price telephone at 2 years of age. Like what he said? Hate what he said? Go over to Scott’s blog at www.scamwagon.com and let him know.
Believe it or not, I’m in the market for a cordless phone. Before you laugh, there’s actually plenty of reasons I maintain a land line, not the least of which is the fact that I have poor cell coverage at my home, and not the most of which is the fact that cellular usually can not hold a candle to the real deal PSTN or good VoIP line, in terms of quality. Cordless phones still have life since some can pair to your cell phone so you don’t have to rush to find that tiny handheld when it rings. If you’re a Skype user, you can be untethered with some cordless phones.

Asus CEO announces 4 million Eee PC’s have been sold
Despite any feelings that you may have regarding netbooks, it is hard to argue against their popularity. And if there is any doubt as to how popular they really are, you may want to ask Asus. The whole netbook revolution is just barely one year old, and Asus CEO Jerry Shen has just given up some details on the sales figures for the Eee PC.
It turns out that they have already sold nearly four million Eee PCs, and have plans to reach the five million mark by the end of 2008. Given the lower pricing that we have been seeing lately, coupled with the never ending lineup of new models, it seems only safe to believe they will reach that goal of five million. Of course, that belief is coming from a regular netbook user. I cannot help but wonder how many of those four million sales came from buyers (like myself) who started with an Eee PC 701 and moved on to other models in the Eee PC lineup as they were introduced. Best Buy offering the Eee PC 900A for under $300
The pricing seems to be gradually getting lower and lower for the Eee PC lineup and the latest model to hit that magical sub-$300 price point is the Eee PC 900A. For those (myself included) that have become confused as to just what each Eee PC model offers, this $299.99 Eee PC features an 8.9-inch display, 1GB of RAM, a 4GB SSD and a 1.6GHz Intel Atom processor. This model is also running Linux as opposed to Windows XP.
The product listing does not mention a battery size, originally the 900A shipped with a 4-cell battery, but with the lower pricing I would not be surprised to see this shipping with a smaller 3-cell battery.
Asus gets back with the Eee lineup, intro’s the Eee PC 900HA
It seems it did not take Asus long to get back into the endless introductions of new Eee PC models. This new Eee PC 900HA comes not long after we began to get excited over the announcement for the non-Eee branded N10, but it seems that excitement was destined to be short lived.
The latest of the Eee lineup comes in the form of the 900HA, and its hard to think that HA is not standing for ha as in ha-ha, almost like the previous N10 announcement was just a little bit of a tease.

It looks like June is going to be another big month for the ultra-mobile PC market. In addition to the MSI Wind dropping on June 3, we will also be getting the Eee PC 901. The Eee PC 901 will retain most of the same styling and features as the 900, except the 901 will more »
