CES 2009: Garmin announces a new GPS for golfers, the Approach G5

In an attempt to expand their products, Garmin has recently introduced a new GPS specifically designed for golfers – the Approach G5. To please golfers, Garmin had to include many useful features, let’s take a closer look to see what they added.

First off, the 3-inch touch screen display is waterproof, so if it starts pouring when you’re out golfing, the Approach G5 will be saved. Now, as soon as you turn the device on, you have the ability to Play and Preview. When the GPS is in Play mode, you are able to see all golf course maps that give you important information such as accurate distance, hazards, greens, etc.
