LulzSec has done it again. The hacking group has become very popular lately and is probably loving all the attention its getting. LulzSec even opened up a hotline for people who want to call them. Nearly a day ago, LulzSec pulled off what could be its most risky hack yet. The group confirmed that it has crashed the website for the CIA.
Be aware of Osama bin Laden themed malware and scams
Following the announcement of Osama bin Laden’s death, scammers and malware creators have began to prey on internet users. Chances are you are going to come across a link or email directing you to some site related to bin Laden’s death. These links and messages may offer pictures, videos or any other kind of bin Laden-related media that can be viewed as “juicy” to the curious mind. Chances are most of these instances are nothing more than spam and malware that will do harm to your computer.
April 1st to be the day a worm brings down the world’s computers?
Stories are starting to fly around the Internet about the latest worm attacking Windows PCs. Why is this one gaining such mass attention? Because of the mystery surrounding it. The Conficker worm has supposedly already infected millions of PCs around the world and it has plenty of people worried what exactly it is up to. What is known is that the next scheduled “update” for the worm is ironically enough, April Fools’ Day. Look at that, malicious hackers with a sense of humor. Apparently though, Microsoft is not seeing any humor in the situation, given that they offered up a $250,000 bounty for the creator.
