A lower priced Blu-ray player is coming this November from Sherwood America for under $300. Expect the usual BD features like 1080p video, upscales DVDs, and supports BD Profile 1.1. With the holidays coming, expect more news like this.

After Panasonic and Sony, it’s now Pioneer’s turn to announced their new Elite BDP-09FD Blu-ray player. And like the other new Blu-ray players, Pioneer would not just let the competitors outwit them in features and functionality. Although Sony has announced its next generation Blu-ray player, the BDP-S350 as early as February, it is only now that the player has started arriving in US retail stores.
