Gadgetell Roundup: Top 5 overlooked Black Friday gadgets

Many people generally associate Black Friday as a time to buy big electronics such as HDTVs, GPSs, gaming consoles, computers, etc. But, it is also a time to buy interesting little gadgets to make your children, or even yourself, happy. I decided to take a look at a lesser-known store, KB Toys, and see what they were offering this Black Friday. I didn’t go straight for their big stuff, but rather their smaller gadgets, and here’s what I found pretty interesting.

T-Mobile offering the Motorola ZN5 for free, this weekend only

Looking for a great Black Friday phone deal? If so, you may want to check out the Motorola ZN5 because T-Mobile will be dropping the price down to free. The good news here is that you can still take care of all your Black Friday shopping and not worry about missing out because T-Mobile has turned this into a Black Friday weekend and this offer is valid from November 28 through November 30.

The one catch, which may be a deal breaker for some is that you still have to pay $99 at the time of purchase because the free comes in the form of a mail-in-rebate. Also, as you would expect, you will also be required the accept the standard two-year agreement.

Some of Staples Black Friday ads get leaked

As we get closer and closer to Black Friday, we find more and more deals being leaked by stores. In addition to Dell ads, which were leaked earlier today, we have a few Staples ads that show what they have planned for us. There are only about 6 items listed, so I think this is just a sampling of what they have to offer.

First, we begin with their computer-related deals as we have an eMachine 19″ Flat Panel LCD Monitor, which is set to be on sale for $99.99. Also, we have the SanDisk 8GB Cruzer Contour USB Flash Drive, which also comes with ReadyBoost as a main feature. ReadyBoost makes your Windows Vista machine perform faster as the computer uses the flash drive’s memory to expand its RAM. The Cruzer Contour is normally on sale for $59.99, but on Black Friday, it will be available for only $12.99.

Dell’s Black Friday 2008 ads leaked

Black Friday, the day when consumers can generally expect to find some good deals, is thankfully just about upon us. With a few weeks before Thanksgiving here in the US, it seems now is about the right time for the deals to begin making their way into the public eye. Sadly, although Dell has plenty of deals listed for Black Friday, it seems that some are not as exciting as one would hope for.

To begin with, Dell is planning to offer the Inspiron Mini 9 for $299, which offers a $50 savings from the regular $349. The specs for that model include a 1.6GHz Atom processor, a 4GB SSD, 512MB RAM an 8.9-inch display and running Ubuntu 8.04.

Other notebooks that are on sale (and some that will offer a much greater savings) will be the Inspiron 13 for $699 (a $329 savings), the Studio 15 for $699 (a $245 savings), the Studio 17 for $799 (a $349 savings), the XPS M1330 for $1,029 (a $319 savings) and the XPS M1530 also for $1,029 (a $319 savings).
