The United States government doesn’t want a T-Mobile, AT&T merger

AT&T may have just encountered its biggest setback yet in its journey to acquire T-Mobile USA. Bloomberg reports that the United States government is against the merger. The Justice Department has filed a complaint stating the merger is simply bad for competition.

Roku removes YouTube from its service

We’ve got bad news for Roku owners who haven’t activated YouTube on their boxes yet. Zatz Not Funny is reporting that YouTube asked Roku to remove its channel because it wasn’t supposed to be available in the first place. Apparently Roku never got YouTube’s permission to add YouTube to their service.

Hulu blocks BlackBerry PlayBook access to videos

Well that was fast wasn’t it? When the BlackBerry PlayBook went on sale on April 19, users could watch Hulu videos until their eyes got red with joy. Yesterday, Hulu got wind to this oversight and added the BlackBerry PlayBook browser to its unsupported list. We can’t say we didn’t see this coming, but there are still ways to watch Hulu on the PlayBook. It takes a few steps, but Hulu just may block these methods as well.

BlackBerry Bridge app blocked by AT&T

BlackBerry PlayBook owners on AT&T have found themselves in a very unfortunate situation. They have been denied access to the BlackBerry Bridge application, which is one of the best features the PlayBook has to offer. According to CrackBerry, the BlackBerry Bridge is listed in BlackBerry App World as being supported by all carriers with the exception of AT&T.

Industry group backs Apple, they are allowed to block the Pre from syncing with iTunes
