Roku gets cheaper with $50 Roku LT
A new Roku model will be released in early November. The Roku LT will cost $50 and will be the cheapest Roku device on the market. It will be able to stream videos in 720p HD and will require a wireless internet connection. Even though it’s cheaper, the Roku LT will be able to access all of Roku’s video channels including Netflix, Hulu Plus and Amazon Instant Video. At this price, Roku will be harder than ever to pass up. It’s bound to stuffed in many a stocking this holiday season.
Velocity Micro announces two sub-$300 Android tablets
If the market has taught us anything it’s that there is no $500 tablet that has has come close to the success of the iPad. While some companies are still putting out expensive hardware, others are taking the budget route. One of those companies is Velocity Micro. It just announced a couple Android 2.3 tablets that start as low as $239.
