Profile verification arrives on Google+
A little while ago, Google revealed its intentions on getting more celebrities signed up for a Google+ account. Of course, there are a ton of people out there that will create a fake celebrity profile page just for fun. That’s why Google has started verifying accounts of celebrities, public figures and anyone else who is so popular, they are at risk of having fake pages created in their name.
Google wants more celebrities to use Google+
One of the best ways to push a product is through celebrity endorsements. Since its introduction to the world, Google+ has acquired over 10 million users. That user base is made up of regular people, businesses (which isn’t allowed) and celebrities. One of the most popular personalities on Google+ is Mark Zuckerberg, who ironically is included in more Google+ circles than anyone else. That’s just the kind of promotion that Google+ needs. As a result, Google wants more celebrities to embrace its social network.
