C Spire Wireless iPhone launch set for next week

Many of us were shocked to learn the iPhone 4S would be coming to regional carrier C Spire Wireless. We aren’t quite sure how they managed to pull that one off, but soon C Spire’s nearly one million customers will be able to purchase the iPhone 4 and the iPhone 4S on November 11, 2011. The standard 16GB 4S model will be $199.99 on a two year contract. The most expensive is the 64GB iPhone 4S, which costs $399.99.

Samsung Galaxy Nexus release will eventually include 7 US carriers

We have recently seen that the Samsung Galaxy Nexus was going to initially launch with Verizon Wireless here in the US, however it looks like the handset will also eventually make its way to six other carriers. C Spire Wireless next in line for iPhone 4S

One of the more surprising stories today comes from C Spire Wireless, formally known as Cellular South. The regional Mississippi-based carrier has announced it is the getting the iPhone 4S. C Spire Wireless trades in unlimited data for infinite data

Cellular South announced on Thursday it would be changing its name to C Spire Wireless. Customers will begin to see the visual changes in Cellular South on Monday morning. We covered all the changes C Spire Wireless will present to its customers in an earlier post. Among the list of service changes is C Spire’s take on unlimited data. C Spire isn’t going to be using that term anymore. From now on, C Spire will offer its customers infinite data plans.

Cellular South changes name to C Spire Wireless

Cellular South, a regional wireless carrier with nearly 1 million customers, has revealed itself as the company behind the Personalized Wireless campaign we reported on earlier. Starting on September 26, Cellular South will officially change its same to C Spire Wireless. Cellular South CEO Hu Meena said during a conference call the “C” in C Spire stands for customer. C Spire’s stance is “putting customers in the center of everything we do.”

Cellular South throws another lawsuit on AT&T’s plate

In these times, we can be sure of two things – iPhone rumors and AT&T lawsuits. Cellular South, a regional wireless carrier based out of Mississippi, has filed an antitrust lawsuit against AT&T in an effort to block its merger with T-Mobile. Cellular South shares the same vision of a grim AT&T and Verizon-dominated future. It believes the merger will “result in consumers facing higher prices, less innovation, fewer choices and reduced competition.”
