Nikon unloads eight new COOLPIX digital cameras
Brace yourselves folks, as Nikon just announced eight new digital snappers all bearing the COOLPIX branding. These new Nikon COOLPIX cameras are the S230, S220, S630, S620, L10, L20, L19 and the P90.
According to Nikon, all of these cameras feature NIKKOR lenses, EXPEED digital image processing, Smart Portrait System, Enhanced Face-priority Auto Focus and Scene Auto Selector. The last three are new features which Nikon introduced just now for its COOLPIX camera line.

Nikon intro’s the P6000; it’s first digital camera with built-in GPS
Nikon has announced the new COOLPIX P6000, a professional looking digital camera featuring an effective 13.5-megapixel camera resolution, 4x zoom Nikkor lens and 2 ED glass elements. Equipped with Nikon’s image-processing system EXPEED, the P6000 brags of being Nikon’s first digital camera with built-in GPS.
If the idea of a digital camera with GPS feature excites you then read on to find out more features of the P6000. This point-and-shoot features an integrated Ethernet connector for image sharing through Nikon’s “My Picturetown” service, a 2.7-inch TFT screen, RAW format and picture control capabilities which are similar to DSLR camera features. Aside from these, the P6000 prides of three ways by which it reduces image blur and these are through Lens-shift Vibration Reduction, noise-reduction technology and Best Shot Selector.
Nikon unveils the Coolpix S610, Wi-Fi enabled S610c digital cameras
Nikon has added two new mid-range digital cameras to its COOLPIX line-up, the S610 and S610c which both boast of an effective 10-megapixel CCD camera sensor. Both models offer almost the same details and specs except for the Wi-Fi feature that only the S610c has. The S610c complies with WPS or Wi-Fi Protected Setup which secures internet connectivity to Wi-Fi routers.
Both cameras offer easy operations and a first time feature called Scene Auto Selector which automatically selects portrait, landscape, night setting or close up mode depending on the environment. Aside from this, the S610 and S610c also features Active Child Mode and Smile Mode settings. Design wise, both cameras sport elegant aluminum bodies with sharply-cut contours that makes them attractive to look at as well as easy to handle.
