Dell Venue Pro delayed until January

After a problematic, limited launch the Dell Venue Pro is just running into more problems. Dell Venue Pro might be shipping December 14 for $149

Of all the Windows Phone 7 phones announced at launch, the Dell Venue Pro was perhaps the most interesting. Dell has been rumored to be working on new smartphones for a while now. While the specs are a bit on the light side, the phone certainly looks attractive.

The new Dell phone has only a 2G radio, which matches the carrier’s capabilities. The phone also lacks WiFi or China’s WAPI version. On the positives for the phone is a 3.2MP camera, a 3.5″ 360×640 capacitive touchscreen, Micro SD slot. Dell chose to forgo a button on the front of the phone, instead placing buttons on the side of the phone.

The carrier’s launch event promoted applications that could be downloaded to phones by LG, Samsung, Nokia, and now Dell. It seems US’s love of apps is spreading quickly.

No word on pricing or a version bound for other countries yet.
