Asus unveils the home theater capable Eee Box B208
Asus has added another model into their Eee Box lineup, this time its home theater capable B208. Overall, I would not say this is a powerhouse, but due to the small size, both in terms of the keyboard, mouse, and the actual PC, plus the addition of a remote this would make a nice addition more »
Eee box gains home theater features
With the impending release of the Eee Top, its easy to forget about Asus’s other Eee desktop offer, the Eee Box. It carries about the same specs as the Eee PC, but the case is built as a standard computer, about the size of an tv. Actually, with the new features that are being added to the Eee box, it is likely to replace the tv you may or may not have.
The new updates to the Eee box will essentially turn it into a home theater machine that can double as a PC, or the other way around. The new features will come in two new models, the B204 and B206. Possibly the biggest feature for the models is the inclusion of a Radeon HD 3400 GPU rather than simple integrated graphics. Continued after the break.

Asus shows off the Eee Box, unveils a new color
Asus has never really been a company to release a full set of details with a press release, they always tend to leave some important items such as release date and pricing out. They also almost always fail to give a nice gallery of press images, however as is the case with the Eee Box, its better late than never, and they have just let out a nice collection of images. While most of the images are what we would have been expecting to see, there is a little interesting tidbit here, notably the red Eee Box. The original announcement called for two colors, black and white, however it looks like Asus has a third color hidden up its sleeve. Keep reading to check out a few more images…

Asus has officially let the Eee Box out of the bag, an official press release has been posted on their website, and it gives most of the details. MSI Wind challenges the Eee, again
MSI and Asus are already ‘battling it out’ in the mini-PC market with the Wind and Eee PC notebooks. However not that long ago Asus showed us the Eee Box and of course MSI has come up with some competition. We do not yet know the complete details of what has been unimaginatively dubbed the more »
Asus Eee Box specs, pricing leaked
So far we have seen a fair amount of leaks and rumors about the upcoming Eee Box, everything from specs to the rumored EBOX name. Well, the latest seems to be the complete and official specs along with just how much this little desktop PC is going to set you back.
The pricing, as one would expect will vary slightly depending on the hard drive and RAM options that you choose. A 80GB hard drive with 1GB of RAM and Linux will run you $269, however adding Windows XP to that will up the price by just $30 to $299. A 160GB hard drive with 2GB of RAM and Linux will also set you back $299, no mention was made of a similar spec’d model with Windows XP. The Eee Box will also not include any optical drive, most likely due to the overall small size, which measures in at 8.5-inches x 7-inches x 1-inch.
