Best Buy lowers Eee PC 900A price yet again, now just $280

This one is not a Black Friday deal, but instead just another nicely priced product coming from Best Buy. We had recently seen them drop the MSI Wind down to $349, and now they have further slashed the pricing for the Eee PC 900A. It was not that long ago when it was dropped to more »

Best Buy offering the Eee PC 900A for under $300

The pricing seems to be gradually getting lower and lower for the Eee PC lineup and the latest model to hit that magical sub-$300 price point is the Eee PC 900A. For those (myself included) that have become confused as to just what each Eee PC model offers, this $299.99 Eee PC features an 8.9-inch display, 1GB of RAM, a 4GB SSD and a 1.6GHz Intel Atom processor. This model is also running Linux as opposed to Windows XP.

The product listing does not mention a battery size, originally the 900A shipped with a 4-cell battery, but with the lower pricing I would not be surprised to see this shipping with a smaller 3-cell battery.

Asus gets back with the Eee lineup, intro’s the Eee PC 900HA

It seems it did not take Asus long to get back into the endless introductions of new Eee PC models. This new Eee PC 900HA comes not long after we began to get excited over the announcement for the non-Eee branded N10, but it seems that excitement was destined to be short lived.

The latest of the Eee lineup comes in the form of the 900HA, and its hard to think that HA is not standing for ha as in ha-ha, almost like the previous N10 announcement was just a little bit of a tease.

Asus 16GB Eee PC 900 now available

Similar to the recent announcement of the Eee PC 904, this has come with little excitement. However the Eee PC 900 is now available for pre-order online. The Eee PC 900 features the 8.9-inch display, an Intel Celeron 900Mhz processor, 1GB of RAM and 16GB SSD. The 900 also includes the now standard Eee PC more »

Asus makes the Eee PC 900 official

While we have already seen the details being confirmed and even have some reviews starting to pop up, Asus has decided to (finally) officially unveil the Eee PC 900 with a press release.

Overall most of the details were just as expected and the 900 should serve as a nice upgrade to the current 701 and also a welcome announcement for those who were holding out for the larger display. The Eee PC 900 will feature an 8.9-inch display with a much improved 1024 x 600 resolution, standard 1GB of RAM, an improved 1.3-megapixel webcam as well as the new FingerGlide trackpad. The 900 will also include the other standards such as Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g, built-in card reader, built-in speakers and microphone, Ethernet, three USB ports, a VGA-out and headphone jack.

Eee PC 900 to include multiple SSD’s

It seems that Asus has added a unique storage option on the Eee PC 900. It turns out that users will get a total of either 12GB or 20GB of storage depending on their operating system of choice. The Windows models will have an 8GB SSD and the Linux based models will have a 16GB more »

Eee PC 900; official details, retail promo video

Well the international roll-out has begun for the Eee PC 900. The new ultra-portable has already been launched in Hong Kong and the UK, with France getting theirs on April 17 and Taiwan on either April 22 or April 24. No word on release dates for other areas, hopefully they will follow shortly.

While it would be nice to have seen, or at least confirm a US release date, we can confirm that many of the expected specs held true. The Eee PC 900 features an 8.9-inch display with a 1024 x 600 resolution, a 900 Mhz Intel Celeron processor, 1GB of RAM, 12GB SSD, a 1.3-megapixel webcam and the multi-touch trackpad.

The FCC outs the Asus Eee PC 900; with Bluetooth, “multi-finger gesture input”

Once again we are learning more details about an unreleased and still unannounced product courtesy of the FCC, this time its the long rumored Asus Eee PC 900. While it may not be everything we had hoped for, we did see mention of a Bluetooth module, but still nothing on GPS, WiMAX or even the touchscreen that was ‘confirmed’ earlier by Kevin Lin. But there was one big surprise however, in the form of a multi-touch trackpad, which will allow two-finger zooming as well as two-finger scrolling.

Upcoming Asus Eee PC’s to feature touchscreen, possible GPS support

Asus has unveiled plans to include touchscreens in the next generation of the Eee PC. These will be included in the Eee PC 900 which will feature the 8.9-inch display, and is sound like these updates will make most current Eee PC owners just a little jealous. According to Kevin Lin, who is the vice more »

Asus makes the 9-inch Eee PC official, announces price, release date

We saw all the recent hype that followed the Eee PC 900 series at CeBIT, we even saw some “in-the-wild” style shots, but Asus held back a few of the important details, namely just how much it will set us back and when it will be available. Well wait no longer, they have officially announced both the price and expected shipping dates.
