HP intro’s the Elitebook 6930p notebook with 24-hour battery life

HP has recently introduced the ‘new’ HP Elitebook 6930p notebook, which is designed for mobile professionals and business travelers thanks to the promise of up to 24 hours of battery life. But as you can imagine that extra long battery life comes with a few catches. First things first, the HP Elitebook 6930p will be available beginning in October, however a specific release date and pricing have not yet been announced. Of course getting back to those catches and the 24 hour battery life, we can only imagine a slightly higher price tag.

To achieve that fabled battery life, users must opt for an optional high capacity battery that when combined with a solid state drive (SSD) and the mercury free LED display from HP will offer the long life. According to HP their HP Illumi-Lite LED display boosts run time by up to 4 hours as compared to a regular display and the SSD offers up to a 7-percent increase in battery life. Otherwise the Elitebook 6930p will offer users a 14.1-inch widescreen display, shock-resistant hard drive, spill-resistant keyboard and weighs in at just 4.7-pounds. Additionally the 6930p also meets the MIL-STD 810F standards which should take some worry away when traveling.
