Sony Ericsson officially unveils the G502
As we mentioned just yesterday, and with little surprise Sony Ericsson has officially announced the G502, and I say officially because the folks over at the Unofficial Sony Ericsson Blog sort of beat them to the punch with an early announcement.
With this there is not much we do not already know, but the G502 is an “affordable” HSDPA candybar style handset that is touting some decent features. The G502 will feature a 2-inch 240 x 320 pixel resolution display, Bluetooth, 2-megapixel camera, an FM radio, RSS support, automatic email setup, Access NetFront Browser, Exchange ActiveSync support and has Google Maps for Mobile pre-installed. In addition the G502 has 32MB of internal memory with a Memory Stick Micro card slot for additional storage.
The G502 is expected to hit selected markets during the second quarter of 2008 and will be available in your choice of Champagne Black or Brilliant Hazel. Keep reading for a few more pics of the G502…
Sony Ericsson’s upcoming G502 “Emelie” revealed
The Sony Ericsson G502, codenamed Emelie was originally rumored to get its official unveiling during this past CTIA, but that came and went without an announcement, until now that is. While this is an unofficial announcement, the folks over at the Unofficial Sony Ericsson Blog have decided to beat Sony Ericsson to the punch and show off Emelie a little early. The official announcement from Sony Ericsson is expected to come this Wednesday April 23, but until then lets review some of the details.
Rumor: Sony Ericsson to introduce Emelie at CTIA 2008
‘Emelie’ is just a codename for a new phone that Sony Ericsson is expected to launch at next month’s CTIA. The rumored cellphone seems exciting because it’s rumored priced of $230-$300, the phone will run on A200 operating system, a system which is not originally used on low to mid-end phone models. The 2-megapixel camera phone will feature a QVGA display with a 240 x 320 pixel resolution and is also expected to weigh only 100 grams.
