Sprint’s early termination fee is going way up
If you’re thinking about joining up with Sprint, you better be sure you’re willing to stick with the contract. An internal Sprint document has been leaked that states the fee for early terminations is going up on September 9. It’s not a modest increase either.
FCC finds most unhappy with mobile billing
A new study from the FCC has found that most people are unhappy with their cellular provider’s billing. The agency surveyed over 3,000 people and discovered that most of them had received a shockingly high bill and didn’t understand ETFs at all. Sprint customers: If you canceled due to the regulatory rate increase, make sure you check your bill

As I mentioned back in December, Sprint has made a change to the contract terms and users should be able to cancel without having to pay an early termination fee. Verizon has responded to the FCC’s inquiry regarding their decision to double their ETF to a whopping $350 and their explanation has many shaking their heads in disbelief. Sprint preparing to change their contract terms, may be a good time to cancel without paying an ETF
It looks like Sprint is preparing to make a change in their contract terms, and yes that means users will be able to (in theory) cancel their current contract without having to pay an early termination fee. Of course, I say “in theory” because your individual mileage may vary, as it usually does with these more »
FCC opens investigation into Verizon’s doubling of ETF
The FCC has opened an investigation following Verizon’s announcement that they would be doubling their ETF from $175 to $350. Verizon claims the rising costs of subsidizing handsets result in higher monetary losses when a customer leaves before their contract is up, leaving them little choice but to raise the early termination fee to cover more »
