Sprint gets exclusivity on the Palm Pixi, avalailable November 15 for $99.99

Palm Pre on every carrier in 6 months?

According to a source familiar with the subject, Sprint has the Palm Pre locked up for all of 2009. The phone everyone is excited to see will be exclusive at Sprint for only six months. What happens on January 1st, 2010 is anyone’s guess as the source refused to comment beyond 2009.

Palm showed off a GSM version of the Pre over in Spain this week. No exclusives outside the US have been announced yet. So Palm will be waiting out the six months with phones ready that can serve every carrier in the US. Woo hoo!

Palm Pre: 60 days exclusive at Sprint too?

Yesterday, we reported on a rumor floating around that Best Buy would have the retail exclusive on the new Palm Pre smartphone that rocked CES. Other than Sprint stores, retail giant Best Buy will be the only source to pick up this phone. This rumor was seen by Iyaz, our Editor, as a good move for the phone’s visibility. Creative gets a little more colorful with the ZEN
