AT&T 4G LTE network expansion will continue on November 20th
AT&T has officially announced the next phase for their 4G LTE network roll-out. The next date to look forward to is November 20th, at which time that will mean a total of 15 markets will have AT&T 4G LTE coverage. And nicely done, this was timed to go live with the release of the 4G more »
Sprint will have its 4G LTE network up and running in 2012
Today Sprint announced its plans to develop its own 4G LTE network. By the time 2013 is over, Sprint expects to blanket 250 million customers in the United States with its form of 4G LTE goodness. In 2012, Sprint expects to begin its LTE reach by gaining access to more than 120 markets in the United States. 15 LTE devices such as phones, data cards and handsets will start being sold in the middle 2012 as well.

Nokia losing ground to Apple, RIM in the smartphone marketshare
No kidding, right? I think maybe everyone but Nokia saw it coming. Or maybe they did too…just not at this drastic of a level.
According to the popular market research firm Canalys, Nokia’s market share dropped down to 38.9 percent in the third quarter; which is down from 51.4 just a year earlier. On the other hand, Apple jumped to 17.3 percent, and RIM increased to 15.2 the same quarter.
Canalys credits some of the Apple and RIM increases to new phones and new marketing strategies. In a statement, the firm said “”The introduction of the iPhone 3G in July and Apple’s expansion into many more countries helped propel the vendor to second place globally.” Continued.
