Evernote Clearly cleans up web articles for easier reading

Evernote has released an extension for the Chrome web browser called Clearly. Clearly’s main purpose is to strip out the non-essential extras on web pages, and leave behind the article and images. In other words, you won’t see any ads, menus, and sidebars that a lot of webpages tend to have when you use clearly.

Google Chrome extension kills Facebook news ticker

It didn’t take a psychic to figure out Facebook users would dislike the changes it has made to its News Feed. From my personal experience, friends from my feed starting posting within minutes of each other complaining about how Facebook keeps changing its interface. My Facebook friends (and perhaps yourselves) may be happy to know there is a way to get rid of the real-time news ticker that constantly informs you of the slightest things your friends do on Facebook. You’ll have to download a new Google Chrome extension called Facebook News Ticker Remover.

GoogleMinus notifies you of Circle removals

There is another browser extension on the web that delivers an unofficial feature to Google+. Unlike the others we’ve talked about, this extension has nothing to do with Facebook. It’s called GoogleMinus and it serves only one purpose – ratting you out to members of your so-called Circles.

Chrome extensions we like: Chrome Antialiasing and zoom 85%

A recently released extension for the Chrome browser may be one that netbook users are looking for. The extension is called Chrome Antialiasing and zoom 85% and comes sporting a simple description; Antialiasing and display magnification are set up to 85%. That said, the description may be simple, but what the extension does is pretty more »

Chrome extensions we like: Google Mail Checker Plus

Like all things Google I am quickly becoming more and more of a fan of Chrome. In fact, the only thing keeping me from using it full time is the lack of extension support on the Mac side. But Chrome has replaced Firefox as my default browser for the times I am using a PC. more »

Google Voice extension for Chrome gets updated, adds click to call and more

I have long been a Google Voice fanboy, and with little perks like this my fanboyism is not likely to go away anytime soon. The latest Google Voice perk comes in the form of an update extension for the Chrome web browser, which now allows users to make calls directly from the extension icon. Thanks more »

Google Chrome browser adds extension gallery and BETA for Mac/Linux users

Google’s Chrome web browser made two big splashes today: a beta version of Chrome has been released for Mac and Linux computers, and an Extensions Gallery has been launched to distribute browser add-ons. Sadly, the extensions work only on the Windows and Linux editions of Chrome, but the gallery is stocked with new browser enhancements. more »

GButts add-on for Firefox offers easy access to Google services despite foolish name

A new add-on for Firefox has been released and it is one that will make accessing any of your favorite Google properties a little easier. First things first, yes you could simply add these items to your standard bookmark toolbar, but that said, GButts does add some convenience not to mention save some space if more »

Google Chrome to get extensions in May

Despite the fact I love the speed that Chrome offers, I just cannot move away from Firefox without having those extensions I have come to need. Well, it seems that Chrome may be getting extensions sooner than later. A discovery made by Nicholas Moline shows that Google will be having a conference on May 27 and one of those sessions is called “Developing extensions for Google Chrome.”

Now, while the session is scheduled and will take place on May 27 it does not indicate whether the support for extensions will come before or on May 27. Personally, I hope that this session will show people how to develop for something that is released and available for use, however either way it looks May is looking promising.

Windows XP will live on until May 30, 2009

Despite the January 31 deadline, Microsoft has announced they will continue to offer Windows XP licenses until May 30, 2009. The extension is said to be in direct relation to customer demand, and had it been kept would have surely created a surge in Windows XP pricing. Of course, even with the extension, the resellers more »
