Acer releases Ferrari 1200 laptop
Acer has announced a new Ferrari branded notebook. A follow-up to last years Ferrari 1100, the aptly named Ferrari 1200 has a 12.1-inch LED backlit display, AMD Turio X2 Ultra dual-core mobile processor, and can handle up to 4GB of DDR2 memory.
If you know much about computers, you know those specs are not really all that impressive. What is impressive about the computer is the lengths that Acer has gone to embrace the Ferrari branding. In addition to the Ferrari symbol on the back of the notebook, the computer has a carbon-fiber, anodized-metal touchpad that is supposed to resemble the car’s pedals, as well as a soft touch coating that resembles the car’s interior.
