Palm Foleo now available — on eBay

The Palm Foleo may have been killed off (before it was ever released) back in September of 2007, but that has not stopped one from showing up on eBay. The auction looks to be a recent listing and at present is sitting at $52, though the reserve is not yet met. Of course, the Buy more »

Foleo to make a comeback? REDFLY drops prices in face of netbook threat

Remember everyone laughing at Palm’s Foleo? Well it seems many would be open to such a device now. Foleo was essentially a dummy terminal that relied on connectivity and data from your mobile phone to run. The immediate advantages being all your information on a bigger screen and keyboard than your mobile allows. As our more »

Palm Pre: overcoming Palm’s successes and failures

With all the buzz garnered by the CES announcement of the new Palm Pre and webOS, we thought it would be a good idea to take a quick look back at how Palm got here. For now, this is simply a concept. However, I’d guess the enterprising folks kicking the WM Foleo off the ground might give this ago as well if there is interest. Doug Aramoth over at CrunchGrear seems to be high on the concept, though to be fair, he lusted after the Foleo as well. And anyone who lugs around a laptop regularly hopes for something lighter.

I’d argue, most users lugging around a laptop do so for

REDFLY Mobile Companion: The Palm Foleo for Windows Mobile devices

With all of the criticism the Palm Foleo took and the quick, almost non-existent life its a wonder that we would see any similar products come to market. However we now have the REDFLY Mobile Companion, which works with Windows Mobile devices. The laptop features a 8-inch display along with a full keyboard and trackpad, more »
