Here are the free Google Music tracks for T-Mobile customers

T-Mobile partnered with Google during the Google Music event on Wednesday. T-Mobile is the first carrier to offer exclusive free tracks from Google Music to its customers. The music section of the Android Market was pushed to smartphones Thursday evening, and the free T-Mobile tracks came with it. They can be found through a special banner in the music section of the Android Market. Free music for T-Mobile customers will continue to be offered throughout the rest of 2011.

Amazon Appstore celebrates Halloween with an interactive book

Today is Halloween and the official Android Market is featuring content that fits in well with the holiday. Halloween’s influence on the Amazon Appstore is virtually undetectable, but Amazon is offering a neat app as part of its ongoing Free App A Day promotion. Instead of the normal offering of games and productivity apps, Amazon hasThe Legend of Spookley the Square Pumpkin up for grabs. It’s designed to be a book for children and it provides a good lesson with a decent amount of interactive options.

RIM says sorry with free apps

Last week was not good for RIM. As the iPhone 4S was building up steam for its release, customers in India. Europe, the Middle East, the United States and Africa were unable to access crucial BlackBerry services. RIM finally fixed everything on October 13, but not before outages that lasted three days in some countries. RIM is apologizing to its BlackBerry users with apologetic words and free apps. Over the next four weeks (starting on October 19), apps that are worth over $100 combined will be free from BlackBerry App World. Customers can pick them up until December 31.

Rdio now offers free, limited streaming option

As promised, Rdio has finally released a free streaming option for its users. New Rdio users can sign up for the service by using either an email address or connecting their Facebook accounts. Should you choose the latter, your musical choices will be displayed in Facebook’s News Ticker. Unlike Spotify’s initial Facebook integration, you don’t have to share all your music if you don’t want to.
