HP unveils the Vivienne Tam Edition netbook, available in December

It looks like HP is going to be rolling out a brand new netbook this December. However, this particular model is not going to be for everyone. The new model will be a special edition in partnership with Vivienne Tam. As you can see from the recently released picture, the Vivienne Tam Edition will feature a nice floral exterior, which may be the barrier for some. Keep reading for some speculative specs.

This netbook seems to be a nice improvement over the current HP netbook. Many have voiced issues with the Mini-Note’s current VIA processor, and the Vivienne Tam Edition will be powered by an Intel Atom processor. As of now, most of the specs have not been confirmed, but it is expected to feature a 10-inch display.

Just Announced: LiquidTV-TiVo for your PC

Think of how many people have become very used to the ease of having TiVo. And now, it’s going to be available for your computer as well. Nero and TiVo are working together to launch LiquidTV, which basically is TiVo, just for a computer.

You’ll still get many of the same basic functions you know and love on regular TiVo. You can watch live or recorded TV. You are able to burn videos to DVD if your PC has a DVD burner. As long as your LiquidTV is networked with other TiVo boxes you have in your house, it even plays nice with those.

Dell packs the 17-inch Precision M6400 with 16GB of RAM

Dell, which has been consistently teasing us with 17-inch notebook beauty has finally unveiled its Precision M6400. If you are thrilled with the idea of having notebook with such a large screen, you may start pre-ordering for the Precision M6400 at the Dell’s online store now. Dell promises to deliver the Precision M6400 by the later part of October. If you’re still undecided, here’s a quick rundown of the notebook’s features and specs which might help you make a decision.

The Dell Precision M6400′s 17-inch display can either be a WXGA+UltraSharp with 1440×900 or 1920×1200 resolutions, a WUXGA RGB LED back-lit display or an edge to edge back-lit display, with both having a 1920×1200 resolution. The notebook also comes packed with an 2.53GHz Intel Core 2 Extreme processor which is also known as the Intel quad-core platform. In addition to these, the M6400 notebook also features 4 DDR 3 memory slot which can support 4GB or RAM each. That gives you the option to have 16GB of RAM in a portable computer.

Sony Vaio TT series notebook is the world’s lightest Blu-ray notebook

Sony announced their latest series in its VAIO notebook lineup – the VAIO TT series. Sony says that these notebooks would be the world’s lightest with Blu-ray disc technology. TT notebook models weigh around 1.3kg and measures only an inch thick.

But certainly, being thin and lightweight are not all there are to the VAIO TT notebook series. TT units to be released later would have various features specific to each of the notebook models. The Sony VAIO TT notebook series also feature an 11.1-inch widescreen display powered by the XBRITE-DuraView LCD technology partnered with an energy-saving LED backlight. In addition, there is an HDMI output connector for connecting the notebook to an HDTV. These Sonys use Intel’s Centrino 2 inside which should help with power consumption.
