Between wireless power, ultra-thin televisions, flexible displays, and epaper, we’re really getting close to living in a science fiction movie. Unify4Life put a spin on the simple garage door opener by making a BlackBery application called “Garage|Shadow.” With this application, your BlackBerry becomes your garage’s remote.

The company states that it is responding to a survey it conducted where “1 in 3 respondents indicated they wanted to control their garage door from a BlackBerry smartphone.” At least they have a built-in audience. Keep reading to see how it works.
