Are you a tech noob? JustAskGemalto aims to help

Let’s face it, not everyone’s a technological genius. You may have a question about your cell phone usage, Internet security, password management, etc. and have no clue where to look online for the answer. The site owners of JustAskGemalto.com are hoping to change that by providing answers to all of these types of questions in one spot.

The website is formatted in a question and answer style that is easy to follow. The six main categories questions fall into are: Buying, Surfing, Traveling, Communicating, Working, and Personal Data. Sample questions answered by the experts on the site include things like: Are Wi-Fi networks secure? What is a secure connection to a website? What are 3G networks?

Electronic ID cards for Bahrain

The U.S. usually lags behind in government acceptance of new technology. Our ID cards usually have barcodes, magnetic strips, or even a RFID. The Kingdom of Bahrain will issue new electronic ID cards to its residents and citizens.

What’s in the electronic ID card? There is a microprocesssor by Gemalto. The card is intended to hold biometric data, medical data, and driver’s license data amongst other things. The cards will allow for both contact and contactless interactions meaning you could just wave your card to transmit data in areas like airports.
