Sony creates a massive battery to provide emergency power to businesses

Sony will start selling a new battery in September that is aimed at businesses, government agencies, universities and other locations where constant power is extremely important. The industrial battery is called the ESSP-2000. It weighs about 198 pounds and can supply a building with enough power to stay up and running for a few hours once the main power supply goes offline.
