Rumor: Google MP3 store in the works
Google is allegedly planning on opening its own MP3 store to go along with its Google Music Beta service. According to the New York Times, Google would like to have the store open within several weeks. An official announcement could be made even sooner than that depending on how negotiations go between Google and music labels. One of the label’s main concerns is the potential of piracy. Google has to gain their confidence on this issue before moving forward.
